RACE TO THE BALLOT's Valentine's Day in Greensboro
We RACED through the heart of the state on Valentine's Day, having conversations about Amendment One harms with Rep. Marcus Brandon and Greensboro citizens fighting to keep their domestic partner benefits, custody of their children, and protections challenged by this discriminatory measure.
What is Race to the Ballot?
The Coalition to Protect NC Families (“Protect NC Families”)—the official campaign to defeat a proposed Amendment to the North Carolina Constitution on the primary election ballot in 2012—will officially kick off its voter education and registration campaign on January 27, 2012, with the launch of RACE TO THE BALLOT.
An unprecedented statewide outreach, fundraising and communications campaign, RACE TO THE BALLOT will empower campaign staff, supporters and students to become organized and online advocates for the state’s anti-amendment efforts while also encouraging other fair-minded citizens all across the Tar Heel State to literally “race to the ballot” in this massive push for early and informed voting during the North Carolina primary on May 8, 2012.
